Baseball Is Life PDF Print E-mail

You've heard the slogan, "Baseball Is Life," but it has special meaning in my family. After a particularly tough loss on my teenage son, we made the connection. You see, his line drive was caught for an out, but the opponent's pop fly dropped in for a game-winning single. "It's just not fair," he said.

"Neither is life," I said. "Sometimes, you just have to deal with what you're given." He just sat there and pouted at the time. But he told me later it's the story he always remembers when life gets tough. It helps him move on.
