You see, his line drive was caught for an out, but the opponent's pop fly dropped in for a game-winning single. "It's just not fair," he said.

"Neither is life," I said. "Sometimes, you just have to deal with what you're given." He just sat there and pouted at the time. But he told me later it's the story he always remembers when life gets tough. It helps him move on.
